You have two options:

1) use our 551445 drill template to drill and tap your second hole in the block.

5. What balancer offset is best for my application?

Our go to is a "truck" balancer (-3 spacing) for the majority of applications since there are so many bracket options available.

If space is limited between your engine and radiator then use a "Corvette" (-1 spacing) balancer. Also if thinking of going supercharged then the Corvette balancer is what will be required.

9. How do I identify my LS or LT engine?

There are many engine RPO codes that GM made over the year. The majority of them are all interchangeable for the most part.

If the vehicle is still in the original vehicle, the RPO code tag is the most helpful. Typically in LS trucks this sticker is in the glove box.

Steel vs iron block and raised engine block markings on the front drivers side and cylinder head casting numbers will identify most engines.
