Supercharging Just Got Super Simple! - ICT Billet

The Ultimate Guide to Supercharging Your LS Swap

LSA, LT4, Hellcat — Bolt-On Boost Made Easy

LS engines are already known for their flexibility and power-per-dollar... but what if you could take that power even further while keeping the same driveability? That’s where supercharging comes in.

If your naturally aspirated engine makes 400 hp, adding 1 bar of boost (about 14.5 psi) theoretically doubles that number. Sure, there are variables — but the concept is simple: double the air, double the power. Let’s dig into how to make that happen in your LS swap.

Factory Superchargers: LSA, LS9, and LT4

GM brought boost to the LS world in several models:

  • LSA (1.9L Eaton TVS) – Cadillac CTS-V, Camaro ZL1, Vauxhall VXR8, Holden HSV sedans/utes, and special editions abroad.
  • LS9 (2.3L Eaton TVS) – Corvette ZR1 (C6) — the biggest factory supercharger on an LS engine.
  • LT4 (1.7L Eaton TVS) – Corvette Z06 (C7), Camaro ZL1 (6th gen), Cadillac CTS-V (Gen 3) — technically Gen V LT, but worth mentioning.

The LT4’s smaller size isn’t a downgrade — it uses improved rotor design for better efficiency, lower heat, and less parasitic loss, all while making more power than an LSA from the factory.

Why You’re Not Stuck With Just One Choice

With ICT Billet, you can run LSA, LT4, or Hellcat superchargers on your LS — all with the same proven two-belt LSA accessory drive. That means no guesswork on accessory brackets, belt routing, or spacing.

Let’s Talk Kits

Here’s a closer look at the blower adapter kits we offer, what they’re built for, and why they just work.

🔴 LSA Supercharger to LS Adapter Kit

Bolt-on boost, straight from GM's playbook.

The LSA supercharger is a proven performer — and the best part is, if you’ve got rectangle port heads, it bolts right on with no adapters needed. But if you’re running cathedral port heads, we’ve got you covered with our billet adapter plates, making the LSA an option for nearly any LS build.

🔴 Hellcat Supercharger to LS Adapter Kit

Turn your LS into a Hellcat—and look good doing it.

Why on earth would someone put a Hellcat supercharger on an LS? Easy: sound. The Hellcat blower has one of the most aggressive whines of any modern supercharger — and with our adapter kit, you can bolt it onto your LS without owning a Dodge.

  • Fits LS3/rectangle or cathedral port heads
  • Works with our 2-belt LSA drive
  • Includes billet hub & 3" 8-rib pulley
  • No cutting, no fab — clean bolt-on install

🔴 LT4 Supercharger to LS Adapter Kit

Want next-level performance with LS simplicity?

Want modern LT4 performance without ditching LS simplicity? These adapters let you bolt an LT4 blower onto an LS with standard port injection.

  • Bolts to LS3-style rectangle port heads
  • Includes bracketry, fuel rails, LS 4-bolt TB adapter
  • Retains LS3 injector length
  • Clean, low-profile valley mounting

Picking the Right Kit for Your Build

Ask yourself:

  • Sound or stealth? Hellcat whine vs LSA/LT4 refinement.
  • Max power or max reliability? LS9 or big LSA pulley setups for more power, LT4 for streetable boost.
  • Port style? Cathedral vs rectangle — choose the right adapter.

All our kits are made in the USA from aerospace-grade billet aluminum, tested in real builds, and designed for zero guesswork. Whether you want a 900 hp track monster or a supercharged daily driver, we make it easier, faster, and better.
