Other than HD trucks with L8T engines, all Gen V LT platform vehicles used electric power assist rather than classic hydraulic power assist pumps. On the L8T, the power steering pump is a Type 2 pump with integrated reservoir and is mounted to the front of the driver cylinder head.

What this means to you?

Most engines and OEM front accessory drives you pick up for an LT swap will not have power steering.
