The Install

Simpler Than You Think

Here's how the install comes together, step by step:

Supercharger Adapters: This is the key part to the swap is to make the Hellcats bolt pattern and intake ports match each other.  Our intake port adapter does just that.  A simple bolt on design with no fabrication required.

Bypass valve: To eliminate extra wiring to your GM PCM (or Haltech, Holley, or whatever you're running), we replaced the second throttle body with a Fabworkz vacuum actuated bypass valve. Clean and simple with no wires or vacuum hoses.

Throttle body adapter: Included in the kit, the adapter bolts your existing LS throttle body directly to the Hellcat supercharger.

Fuel injectors: We retained the stock Hellcat fuel injectors since they came with the supercharger. They use the standard USCAR (LS3-style) wire connector, so they plug right in to most late model GM harnesses.

Belt drive: Drive the supercharger with a factory LSA belt drive setup.  We offer options for most any vehicle, including the one we recommend which is the factory location LSA drive. Our hellcat adapter kit includes a supercharger hub + 8 rib pulley to retain factory LSA belt spacing.

Which Hellcat adapter do I need for a 5.3 LS?

Most common 5.3L LS truck engines use cathedral port heads, but you should always verify your exact cylinder heads before ordering.  The engines liters does not matter.  You will only need to match the intake port shape.  If your engine has cathedral port heads, the Hellcat Supercharger to LS Cathedral Head Adapter Kit is the likely starting point.

Which Hellcat adapter do I need for an LS3?

An LS3 engine has rectangle port heads, so the Hellcat Supercharger to LS Rectangle Port Head Adapter Kit is what you need.

Can you put a Hellcat supercharger on an Gen III or Gen IV LS engine?

Yes. ICT Billet offers Hellcat supercharger adapter kits for both LS cathedral port and LS rectangle port applications. The correct kit depends on your cylinder head style.
