MADE IN THE USA
One of the most important steps of your swap is identifying the accessory bracket belt "spacing" you need. This spacing is determined by the crank pulley that you have or the one you plan to use. GM made three main types of spacing, each to fit different engine bay constraints.
(-1) Corvette C7 LT1 crank pulleys are in this category. See guide below for measurements
(-2) Camaro SS LT1 crank pulleys are in this category. See guide below for measurements.
(-3) All Truck / SUV crank pulleys are in this category. See guide below for measurements.
What this means to you?
All of our systems function around this spacing concept to ensure the kit is a direct bolt up to your application for proper functionality.
We categorize our parts by a 6 digit part # with a (-) at the end. Depending on which application the bracket was designed for would determine the last digit.
A noticeable visible difference between the two are the amount of holes there are in the face of the pulley, the Corvette LT1 has many holes, the Camaro LT1 has only 2 holes, and the Truck/SUV pulley has no holes.
Balancer Bolt
If you replace your balancer, always remember to replace your bolt. This ensures you wont have oil leaking through the crankshaft keyway. There is orange sealer on the backside of the bolts flange that seals against the face of the harmonic balancer. Always use a flywheel holding tool to tighten this bolt. Factory tightening sequence is to torque this M16 bolt to 37 ft lbs, then add 140 degrees. This will ensure the balancer is fully installed, thus keeping the belt alignment with other pulleys. If you are ever unsure if you have a pulley alignment issue, then most parts stores carry a laser belt alignment tool to visually check alignment.
LT4 Balancers
If you are adding LT4 balancer to your LT truck accessory drive, note that the balancers 8 rib pulley is actually .060" closer to the engine than the trucks 6 rib accessory drive, which can throw belts. Then the additional 2 ribs are added forward.
