While a few sensors carried over from Gen IV LS to early Gen V LT (such as the coolant temperature sensor and low oil level indicator), the majority of engine related sensors and connectors were revised. Gen V LT also brought new sensors to the mix like the high pressure fuel rail sensor in support of Direct Injection.

GM continued to evolve certain sensors as well, such as the 3-wire oil pressure sensor becoming a combination pressure and temperature 4-wire sensor for Gen V Plus, the high pressure fuel pump connector changing shapes in 2019 (except LT4), and the high pressure fuel rail sensor updating from 4-wire analog unit to 3-wire digital in 2017.

What this means to you?

Understanding if your LT swap donor was an "early" Gen V or "late" Gen V Plus will go a long ways toward knowing which sensors and connectors you need, although not all changes follow that shift in 2019.
