Fill the torque converter then install converter onto the transmission (typically there is around .06-.1\" gap from bellhousing to torque converter when the converter is fully installed. The converter is inboard of the bellhousing. Next install the transmission and fill the transmission with the engine off. Now start the engine and with foot on the brakes, run the transmission through reverse and drive. Refill the transmission, the run the engine and bring the transmission temperature to over 100°F degrees and refill the transmission.
